Heartsent Adoptions, Inc has successfully completed it's Hague Accreditation

INTERNATIONAL ADOPTIONS are experiencing many changes at this time. Adoptive parents have seen so many changes this past year with the adoption process in China, Guatemala and Russia, all countries where the process has historically been fairly predictable and relatively smooth. This is creating a situation where adoptive parents are looking at country choices they have not considered in the past. It is also opening possibilities and futures for children in countries that up to now have either not allowed adoptions, or where the adoption path may be 'less traveled' than in countries where the number of adoptable children has been larger. Please consider all of your options! Ask our staff about these roads less traveled, and you may find that you are directed to your child from an area of the world you never even knew about before.

DOMESTIC ADOPTION is a wonderful choice. Newborns are available from all states, and with the help of Heartsent you can process a domestic adoption typically within one year. We work with a variety of professionals to find the best match for your family, and work closely with you to personalize your adoption process. Heartsent provides the education, training and personal assistance to help you and your child(ren) come together as a family.

COUNTRY NEWS: GUATEMALA continues to experience progress in its adoption processing, and we expect this country to open soon with an improved process. Heartsent staff plans to travel there within the next few months, to check on progress of the system of adoptions there. All of our cases have been completed now, our last family having just traveled to bring her beautiful child home. We will keep you posted on the official opening of Guatemala to new families.

In CHINA we still see a slowdown in the processing of child referrals for approved dossiers, now making child referrals at about 26-30 months following dossier receipt, unless a family qualifies for expedite service. Heartsent families have recently returned home with children, and others have received new child referrals. New families travel regularly, but less often than in the past, to meet and bring home their children! Remember that even though adoptions are taking longer to process, the government of China is solidly behind foreign adoption and we see no long term problems there. See the CCAA website for other adoption details about new regulations from May 1st of 2007: http://www.china-ccaa.org.

KYRGYZSTAN is our newest program of adoptions, and we are very excited about this program! Both boys and girls are available, of Turkish/Mongolian ancestry, with time frames of about 8-10 months before completion of an adoption. Heartsent staff will be traveling with the first families adopting from this central Asian country- check here for more details soon. This program accepts singles and couples, under 50.

KAZAKHSTAN also offers a wonderful choice for singles and couples who are wanting to adopt a boy or girl from 10 months old. Timeframes for adoption range between 10-12 months in this program. This program requires two trips, but an escort may be used in certain cases for the second trip.

HEARTSENT'S THAILAND PROGRAM has expanded to include waiting, special needs children as well as our healthy young toddlers. Families who are matched with a waiting child can expect much shorter time frames (about 6 months to completion). Thailand is a beautiful country, with a rich tradition of valuing children and family. We work closely with a small baby nursery in Bangkok, where the children are dearly loved and well cared for. We welcome couples-only inquiries about our beautiful Thai children. There are several families now processing, and many waiting children in Thailand.

VIETNAM ADOPTIONS are currently experiencing a slowdown, as the adoption process there undergoes revision and improvements. We will keep you posted about progress there. We hope to hear more in May-June.

TAIWAN offers families a wonderful alternative, as many families have recently begun their adoption process there. Timeframes for child referral vary from 16-24 months, followed by a 4-7 month time period for the court case to be completed after which families can travel. Staff and adoptive families traveled to Taiwan in early April to check on referred children and locate adoptable children. We have successfully expanded our Taiwan program, and now work in several locations throughout Taiwan. We love our beautiful children in wonderful nursery care. Couples only, under 50 preferred but older will be considered. Children are between 8-10 months when they come home. Families cannot choose gender in this program. Please inquire about this terrific program, as well as our new older child program, where there is currently a six to eight month wait at this time! Toddlers available now for matching and quicker travel times.

RUSSIA is our newest program offering, as we have arranged to network with a fully accredited child placement agency in Colorado. This program continues to offer children of all ages from several regions throughout the country. Contact us for details about this program, including time lines and available children.

USA! Heartsent is proud to offer our domestic program of adoptions. Newborns are available from any of our 50 states, typically placed in your home within one year. Heartsent is pleased to work with a 'short list' of very qualified professionals, and works hard to personalize your adoption process. Please inquire! We work with traditional and non-traditional families of all ages, and encourage singles to apply to our personalized program of domestic adoptions.
