Charity
Birthday: July 2013
Gender: Girl
Special Needs: Cognitive and Speech Delays
Please come meet Charity! She and her twin brother are living together with the same foster family. Although they didn’t have a good start in life they’ll learn and thrive if they have a stable family that will love and care for them. She and her brother both have mild intellectual disability certificates and will have another evaluation in March 2021. Charity tends to try and please people. Unlike her brother Joshua, her behavior doesn’t necessarily reflect her inner thoughts. Her foster mother hopes she will eventually learn that it is okay to express her real feelings and stop fearing punishment as a result of her self expression. Charity is not shy, and she is happy when people praise her clothes and accessories. Her foster mother noticed that Charity over thinks a lot and has trouble relaxing. Her foster mother has been taking them out to experience nature and this has helped her relax and sleep better. All Charity and Joshua needs is a family that will care for them and give them the chance they deserve. If you feel any connection with her, please contact us today and don’t wait!
Joshua
Birthday: July 2013
Gender: Boy
Special Needs: Cognitive and Speech Delays, Cleft lip or palate
Come say hello to Joshua. He and Charity are twin siblings. They are currently living together with the same foster family. Joshua is very lively and active. He wears his emotions on his sleeve, and you can always tell how he’s feeling. He has a cleft palate which affected his speech as well. He and his sister are receiving weekly language, cognitive and occupational therapies and the two have made a lot of progress. Joshua’s social worker has tried for two years and came to the conclusion that the possibility for him and his sister to go back to their birth family is very slim. Their biological parents have also stated that their financial struggles would make it difficult to raise the two properly. Joshua and Charity didn’t have a very good start in life, but the two will definitely thrive if they have a family that will care and love them for themselves. Please don’t hesitate to contact Heartsent Adoptions for more information if you feel that you’re the family for them.
