Come meet Cindy!  This little girl is happy most of the time and when faced with frustration or anger, she will cry first and then either move forward or fall backward.  Sometimes, she will forcefully hit the soft, impact-resistant floor, with the second hit being noticeably less forceful. At the same time, she observes the reactions of adults. If she notices adults becoming nervous or worried, she will continue her actions until she gets the toy she wants or her pacifier. Cindy likes playing splashing water during bath time, playing peek-a-boo with scarves, and engaging with light and sound toys. The assessment indicated she has some developmental delays and currently she is receiving in-home occupational therapy twice a week, twice a week at the Hospital, and twice a week of preventive services at the Early Intervention Center.
