Meet Emerson, a happy and joyful kid in spite of his special needs! In 2013, Emerson was diagnosed with infantile cerebral palsy with left-sided weakness. He has trouble standing and is now wearing ankle-foot orthotics as assistance to his locomotion. Emerson also has developmental delays in cognition, language, and motor skills. He needs assistance when attending activities of daily living. Emerson is a joyful and approach kid. Even though he cannot express himself with the use of language, he manages to invite other people to sit or play ball with him. His eyesight is poor due to periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) but his listening is sharp. Emerson adapts well with the foster family and has a strong bonding with the foster parents.
