Iris is delayed in fine motor skills, language, cognitive, emotion and social adaption developments, and she attends speech and occupational therapy every week. She also takes medication for ADHD and receives psychological counseling for emotion regulation. Iris is sensitive to sounds but listening to songs helps her stay calm and safe. She likes to watch “Peppa Pig” the most. At the moment, she can play with a toy for only a minute or two and express simple sentences. It may take her a while to warm up with new faces but she is willing to interact in a more familiar environment.

Meet Ivan, an outgoing and thoughtful boy! He likes to interact with other people and and is emotionally steady. He started attending kindergarten since September 2017 and has good rapport with peers. In the foster family, Ivan is encouraged to express his needs and emotions since his speech has been improved. Ivan was diagnosed with global developmental delay and received early intervention until June 2018 when he moved to a different area. He will soon be reevaluated again and attend intervention sessions. Currently Iris and Ian are in different foster families.
