Birthday: September 2016
Gender: Boy
Special Needs: Premature Birth; Cognitive & Speech Developmental Delays
Come say hi to Jeremiah! He was born prematurely so he stayed in an incubator for 5 months. He was found to have multiple issues when he was born but was already treated and follow-up is no longer needed. He didn’t have a stable family environment to grow up in and was also a victim of improper care. Despite Jeremiah’s developmental delays, his foster mother believes he is smart and capable of learning. He is mostly emotionally stable and when he is upset it is easy to transfer his attention to something else. The social worker thinks he’s vivacious and has adjusted well in the foster family. He seems easygoing and always has a smile on his face. We’re looking for an adoptive family who would love him as who he is and take the time to understand him. The adoptive family should have knowledge about developmental delays and would preferably have a background in medicine, psychology, child development and therapies.
