Keegan
Birthday: December 2008
Gender: Boy
Special Needs: Amblyopia, history of Kawasaki disease, microcytic-anemia, attention deficit disorder
Meet energetic, exciting Keegan! Our 9- year- old has a history of developmental delays, but has made leaps and bounds in his communication skills. He has amblyopia as well as microcytic anemia, which is suspected to be either thalassemia or iron deficiency anemia. He previously was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, so it is necessary to keep a close eye on his condition if he has a fever. It is recommended that Keegan receives an individualized education plan to accommodate his attention deficit disorder. Keegan is an extremely active young boy who has developed a close, stable relationship with his foster family. He is very curious about the world around him but requires extra attention and encouragement while completing tasks, such as his homework assignments.
Ygnacio
Birthday: July 2011
Gender: Boy
Special Needs: Amblyopia, slight anemia
Ygnacio is a sweet, shy little boy. When he was just under 4 years old, he had surgery to remove mucous from his eyes and remains nearsighted. He wears corrective shoes to help with his weak lower limbs and has slight anemia. Ygnacio loves soup and noodles! He is also a fan of many types of fruits. He enjoys quiet activities and can sometimes prefer to remain by himself, especially after any negative interaction. However, he often joins back in and can communicate well with children his age as well as adults. He’s made leaps and bounds in his language development after receiving treatment from Eden Social Welfares Foundations twice a week for a year.
